Dear loyal customer,
We wanted to share some exciting news with you! Tiffanie has written and published a children’s book with a very important message to share with the world. Tiffanie has been led on a journey to turn her story into a motivating factor for others. Her journey includes sharing her story about growing up with the absence of a mother and father for much of her childhood. Sharing her story of trauma in an effort to continue to show others that they too can overcome barriers and defy the odds. Sometimes Mommy Has To Go Away was born from Tiffanie’s vision to bring awareness to something she faces, but also that many of her students face; motherlessness. However, the story isn’t just about the absence of a mother but it is also about the various types of presence a mother may have in a child’s life. We are filled with a society full of working moms that are often made to feel guilty because they have to balance work and motherhood, mothers who have had to make the choice to send their child to live with family In an effort to create a different environment for them and for various reasons, we live in a world where mothers may get sick at times or a mother may be an adoptive mother or foster mother. Mothers or Mother figures don’t come in one shape, size, or form. Tiffanie wanted to share her story along with the story of many other children and mother figures in a children’s book to raise awareness about the diversities, a story about life for children, Mothers, mother figures, teachers, therapist, and anyone else who knows or works with a child, mother, or mother figure that deserves to feel accepted, noticed, and appreciated. In lieu of this excitement we wanted to share this amazing news with you. $3.00 from every purchase proceeds the Annual Bookbag drive Priority Academic Tutoring hosts every year. Feel free to pass along the book info to anyone you wish!
Excitingly shared,
